FALL MEMBERSHIP CLASSES
will begin September 12
The class will involve 3 sections over 2 weeks and participation in each is strongly encouraged.
The classes will meet with Rev. Andy Mattick in the Chapel and will cover the following:
- Sun. 9/12, 10:30 a.m. Our PAST - The founding, theology, and history of the United Methodist Church
- Sun. 9/19, 10:30 a.m. Our PRESENT - SVUMC's ministries & vision, our Conference, & apportioned giving
- Fri. 9/24, 6 p.m. Our FUTURE - Over dinner, we discuss membership, service, fellowship & convenants
We plan to receive our newest members in worship on Sunday, Sept 26th.
If you can't make choir rehearsals during the school year, here's your chance to praise the Lord in song!
Our Summer Choir meets in the Sanctuary at 8:30 a.m. to rehearse an easy anthem for the 9 a.m. service.
Summer Choir will continue through Labor Day.
Our music program is "warming up"
for our Fall Kickoff.
Rehearsals are each Thursday evening
in the Sanctuary:
Praise Band @ 6:00 p.m
Chancel Choir @ 7:30 P.M.
Choir "Kick Off" Potluck will be held

Electric vehicles - what do you know about them? Wondering what the future holds for electric vehicles? Join us for a Silvertops Potluck Dinner and Program, brought to us by the The Speakers' Bureau of Southern California Edison.
Recycle Sunday 
The youth want to help save the planet and raise some money at the same time. You can help by donating your CLEAN and EMPTY cans, bottles and plastic. Drop your items off before or after church on the 4th Sunday of each month. Funds raised will be split with 50% going to the church and 50% to the Youth Group.
